Lady and her baby beaten, thrown inside gutter by brother in-law for disturbing his sleep (video)

A video which is making the rounds on social media has captured the moment a lady was beaten by her brother in law for disturbing his sleep. Eye witnesses questioned the lady about the injuries on her body and she opened up on how her brother in-law slapped her baby, beat her up and pushed her inside gutter. She also said she has been squatting with him since her husband is not financially buoyant to take good care of them. Stating his own side of the story, the brother in law said his family was against his brother marrying the lady, and the lady is so stubborn to deal with, that is why sometimes his temper gets out of control. Nigerian music legend, Majek Fashek is dead

Legendary Nigerian singer, songwriter and guitarist, Majek Fashek, has died. According to reports, the “Send Down the Rain” crooner, died in a hospital in New York on Monday June 1. His manager, Omenka Uzoma shared the news on Instagram writing; “Today been having pressure calls,well it is true that the African No 1 Legendary ICON has gone to be with the LORD his Maker, Let celebrate him ,his achievements and his family,what ever decisions made by his immediate family will be notify.” Recall that in September last year when Uzoma cried out about his condition, billionaire Femi Otedola paid for the reggae icon’s medical expenses at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London. Majek is best known for the 1988 album Prisoner of Conscience, which included the multiple award-winning single “Send Down the Rain”. BREAKING: FG relaxes restriction on churches, mosques

The Federal Government has announced the relaxation of the restriction placed on places of worship as part of measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19. The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, announced this during the daily briefing of the panel on Monday. Mustapha, who is also the Secretary to Government of the Federation, said the ban on inter-state travel is still in place. “I go dey rape dey go, nothing go happen” – Nigerian man boasts while reacting to Uwa’s death

A Nigerian man, G love Udenso, has boasted of being a rapist, and says nothing will happen. He made the claims on Facebook as he reacted to the gruesome death of Uwa Omazuwa, the University of Benin student who was raped and murdered inside in a church. He also stated that girls should not wear pants so as to help him carry out his rape activity without stress. He wrote in Nigerian Pidgin English, “I go dey rape dey go. Nothing go happen. Ladies make una help us small. No dey wear pants come wear tight on top. E dey waste person time abeg. Thank you.”

#JusticeforUwa: IGP deploys investigative, forensic support to Edo

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has deployed more investigative and forensic support to the Edo State Police Command to unravel the death of Miss Vera Uwaila who was raped and killed by unknown men. Uwaila was a first year student of the University of Benin. It was gathered she had gone to read in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Miracle Sanctuary Mega Parish, Edo Province 10, Ikpoba Hill area of Benin City when the unfortunate incident occurred. It was reported that the men forced their way into the church, where they raped and struck Uwaila in the head with a fire extinguisher. Man narrates how he was allegedly thrown out of a Lagos church by 2am because his dressing was ”worldly”

A Nigerian man identified as Maxwell Honeymoon Ndamzi Iwezor has narrated how he was allegedly thrown out of a Lagos church by 2am because his dressing was ”worldly”. According to the young man, he walked into the church by 7pm after leaving a tailor’s shop who had just disappointed him around Mandillas in Lagos Island. He said decided to spend the night at the church so he could go to his tailor’s shop to pick up his item in the morning. However, he was allegedly kicked out around 2am by some members of the church who told him he can’t stay there because his dressing was “worldly”.
