3 Brothers Who Kidnapped And Murdered A Mother Of 5 in Abuja Arrested By Police.

Police operatives attached to the Intelligence Response Unit of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested three (3) suspects namely; Johnson Emmanuel - 38yrs, Gideon Emmanuel - 31yrs and Success Emmanuel - 27yrs for the kidnap and gruesome murder of one Mrs Janet Nnenna Ogbonnaya on 14th May, 2020. The suspects, born by same parents, all male and native of Isiekenesi, Ideato LGA of Imo State were arrested by the Police in their home town where they had taken refuge after committing the crime in Abuja, in order to evade police arrest. Investigations that led to the arrest of the suspects is sequel to complaints received from one Chinedu Ogbonnaya who alleged that his mother, Mrs Janet Nnenna Ogbonnaya, 55yrs, native of Ozuitem in Bende LGA of Abia State had been kidnapped and a 5-Million naira ransom demanded before she could be released. Soldier Attempts To Commit Suicide In Taraba State

The police in Taraba State have said they have no hands in the episode that led to a soldier attempting to commit suicide. A soldier, whose name was given as Ali, had climbed the Welcome to Taraba Roadblock Tower -over 24fts high, and threatened to jump down and die. Speaking in Hausa and pidgin, he was saying: “I want to die, if soldiers do not come to my rescue. Allow me to jump down and die.” But the youth who gathered at the place begged him: “Please do not jump. We don’t want you to die.” For over an hour, residents of Jalingo struggled to save him from committing suicide. The army have accused the police of brutalising the suicide attempting soldier. But police spokesman, David Misal, asked: “If the police had actually brutalized the military man, where did he get the strength to climb the high tower? Why didn’t he report officially? “If the police manhandled a soldier and he got injured, was he supposed to go into the streets and be threatening to kill himself?,”

NCDC: COVID-19 Patients Without Symptoms To Be Discharged After 14 Days

PATIENTS who stop showing Coronavirus symptoms —fever and respiratory, will be discharged without waiting for a laboratory negative test. Besides, those who fail to show symptoms after testing positive will be discharged 14 days after, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said on Thursday while unveiling the new treatment protocols. The NCDC said this followed new data from Singapore that showed that RNA detected beyond 10 days is no longer infectious as no viable virus is grown by a viral culture. Such patients will be asked to go home but advised to continue self-isolation one week after discharge. Director-General of NCDC Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, who spoke at the daily briefing of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, in Abuja, said: “There have been new science emerging about the duration of infectivity of individual patients. Man sentenced to death for raping to death two-year-old girl

The Kaduna State High Court on Wednesday sentenced a man to death by hanging for raping a two-year-old girl to death. The suspect identified as Usman Shehu Bashir, took the victim, Fatima to his room and raped her in 2015. Ruling on Wednesday, Justice Kabir Dabo said the judgement of death by hanging was passed under section 221 of the penal code, Kaduna State law 1999 as amended. Bashir had while confessing to the crime said the incident lasted for 40 minutes. The judge said, “The convict has confessionally confirmed the occurrence of the offence, as well, his written statements also confirmed. By these two confessional statements, the court passed the judgement. On that fateful day, the convict took late Fatima to his room and for about 40 minutes, he raped her which led to her death, after the establishment of all the evidence of committing the crime,”. New video captures white police officer in Florida kneeling on a black man’s neck during an arrest

A Florida police department has launched an internal investigation after a video surfaced on social media showing a Sarasota police officer kneeling on a black man’s neck during an arrest. In the nearly 90-second cellphone video taken by a bystander during the May 18 incident, three officers can be seen attempting to take a male individual into custody. One of the two officers is then seen kneeling on the head and neck of the man. The man, who was arrested on a domestic violence/battery charge, is heard yelling, “Why am I being arrested?” as the officer kneels on him. “As I’m yelling, and asking, ‘Why am I being detained,’ he started putting his knee on my neck,” Patrick Carroll said in an interview with CNN affiliate WFTS. Carroll said he suffers from asthma and scoliosis, and he was having trouble breathing. “While he’s saying I’m resisting, I’m just moving around so I can have circulation in my body and my throat,” he said. 4 Minneapolis Officers Now Charged In George Floyd’s Death; Mugshots Released

Their mugshots were released after Senator Amy Klobuchar disclosed that Minnesota Attorney General, Keith Ellison is increasing charges against former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin to second-degree murder. The Star Tribune, citing multiple unnamed law enforcement sources, said Derek Chauvin who had his knee pressed into Floyd’s neck for nearly nine minutes, would face the more serious charge in the death of George Floyd. Sen. Amy also said that the three other officers at the scene Thomas Lane, J. Kueng, and Tou Thao are also going to be charged for their involvement in the incident following calls for their arrest. Mother breaks down in tears as her 4-year-old daughter narrates how she was raped by school teacher (Video)

A four-year-old nursery pupil has recounted her sordid ordeal she experienced with her school uncle who stripped her of her innocence and raped her repeatedly while in school. A quite heartbreaking video which recently hit the internet, shows the little girl narrating her sad encounter with the rapist identified as Elias. The four-year-old revealed how her school uncle, Elias assaults her whenever she comes to school, and how he manhandles her private part. The mother of the rape victim, identified as Ayele Esther also shared details of her daughter’s encounter — she shared how her daughter sustained injuries on her private part due to the sexual assault. Esther who broke into tears while narrating the ordeal of her daughter, mentioned that the uncle usually lures her daughter with packets of sweets, and after raping her, he will warn her to keep quiet about the incident.
