2-year-old tests positive for Coronavirus in Ogun

The Federal Medical Centre in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital, has announced that a 2-year-old child tested positive for Coronavirus at its facility. Spokesperson of the hospital, Segun Orisajo said the child was admitted eight days ago on account of breathlessness and tests carried out on her showed she had the virus. Orisajo said; “Due to the persisted high temperature, she was isolated, hence no member of staff or other patients were unduly exposed,” he said. “To confirm the initial suspicion by a team of care givers, on the third day, she was screened for coronavirus while her treatment continued. “The samples of her test returned positive for coronavirus few moments ago. “The girl is already receiving treatment at the Centre’s isolation ward while the facility where she was initially admitted has been decontaminated.” The toddler is now receiving treatment at the hospital’s isolation ward, while the hospital's management has initiated a contact tracing of her rela

Man arrested for killing his children with wooden pestle in Anambra

The Anambra state police command has confirmed the arrest of a 34-year-old man identified as Ifeanyi Apusiobi of Azu Ogbunike in Oyi LGA of Anambra State, for reportedly killing his two kids with wooden pestle. The suspect who crushed his children; Chinecherem Apusiobi aged 7 and Obinna Apusiobi aged 5 with the pestle while they were sleeping, also injured his 72-year-old father, Dominic Apusiobi on the head with same object. Exhibits have been recovered and the case has been transferred to the State CID in Awka for discreet investigation. Asiwaju Lanre Gentry has hit back after his ex-wife and mother of his son, Mercy Aigbe, wished herself a happy Fathers' Day. Mercy, whose son with Lanre Gentry turned 10 three days ago, celebrated herself on Fathers' Day, writing: "Happy Father’s Day to me, to all the responsible fathers out there and all single parents who play the dual role, may we eat the fruits of our labour in Jesus name .Thank you Jehovah for Grace. Happy Sunday my lovelies." And Lanre Gentry took to his Instagram account to issue a warning. He wrote "Happy father's day and happy Sunday to my good people all over the world. Olakunle Churchill, the ex-husband of actress Tonto Dikeh, took to social media to pray for fathers on the occasion of World Fathers day which is today June 20. Author and activist, Reno Omokri has shared his thoughts as regards the concept of church wedding saying it isn't biblical. In series of posts shared on his Facebook page, Reno said the concept of church weddings isn't backed up by the scriptures. According to Reno, a former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Jesus in the bible attended a wedding held at home and not a church. Reno said all that is needed for a wedding ceremony to take place,  is a man, his wife and their family members, not a church, pastor or priest. Man calls on Jesus after discovering python in the engine of his motorcycle (Video)

A Nigerian man has broken into prayers calling on the name of Jesus after he found out that python has been living in the engine of his motorcycle. The man took to social media to share his experience and testimony today, 20th June. According to him he has been riding the motorcycle for a long time not knowing that a snake has been living in its engine. He said he is surprised to find the python in the engine of his motorcycle because he washes it everyday. But after a trip from Nnewi to aguleri in Anambra state, he was shocked to discover a live python right inside the engine of his motorcycle. Sharing his story, the man wondered that the snake could survive the heat of the engine. He concluded that the python was spiritual and broke into prayers, calling on Holy Ghost fire to consume the snake. Watch: VIDEO
