Man and his wife are arrested in Ogun State for humiliating the man's ex-girlfriend and inserting a bottle in her genitals

A man and his wife have been arrested by the Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for molesting and indecently assaulting a 20-year-old woman. Osas Onyeokweni was reportedly dating the 20-year old before they went their separate ways. On the fateful day, Osas Onyekweni was said to have called his former girlfriend on phone to meet him at an agreed point at Lusada area, Agbara, Ogun State, for an important discussion. However, when the 20- year-old woman turned up at the Lusada location, she met Osas and his wife, Tomisin Onyeokweni. Both lured her into an uncompleted apartment where Tomisin pulled a pair of scissors and used it to slit her dress, leaving her naked.  The husband then wrestled his ex to the ground and pinned her down while his wife forced an empty bottle of Alomo bitters into her private part.  They also reportedly took her picture while she was naked and threatened to upload it on the internet if she dares report to anyone.  The couple was, however,

Employer's job advert goes viral and divides Twitter users

An employer took to Twitter to share a job advert as he searched for a reliable employee but the content of the advert caught the attention of Twitter users and made him go viral. Samuel Otigba, a brand strategist who was nominated for Forbes 30 under 30 in 2018, tweeted: "Looking for someone I can trust to manage my food factory in Kaduna. Good pay with health insurance. You can steal cause I know you will & I can’t control it, but keep the thieving within 5-10% of the total net profit & we are good." Some Twitter users found his tweet amusing and said he was being realistic with his expectations. However, others accused him of implying that all Nigerians are potential thieves. A 55-year-old man has been hacked to death by yet-to-be-identified persons in Ahaba Orodo community area in Imo state. The spokesperson of the state police command, Ikeikwu Orlando, in a statement released today June 22, said operatives of the Divisional Police Headquarters, Mbaitoli acting on a report earlier made to the station, moved to an isolated area around the Ahaba Orodo Community School and found the corpse of the 55-year-old man identified as Patrick Uchenwoke, in the pool of his own blood. Friends mourn as woman named Grace Olamide is murdered by her fiancé Chris Ndulue

Nigerians are mourning a woman named Grace Olamide, 25, who was killed by her fiancé, after which he committed suicide ( Read here ). Topgistpedia reported the incident which took place over the weekend. Twitter users who knew her have now taken to the microblogging platform to mourn her. According to a Twitter user claiming to be a cousin to the deceased, the woman's throat was slit by her fiancé before he committed suicide. @astheliz wrote: "My 25 year old cousin was murdered last night. Her fiance slit her throat and killed himself. I am not okay and i refuse to believe it." Other Twitter users who knew the deceased have expressed shock over her death. Singer, Oladapo Oyebanjo popularly known as D’banj, has once again reacted to the backlash he's been receiving on social media after a lady, Seyitan Babatayo, took to Twitter to accuse him of raping her in 2018, an allegation which the singer denied. Reports emerged last week, claiming Dbanj ordered the police to arrest Seyitan over her allegations and this angered lots of Nigerians including celebrities, as they took to social media to call the singer out and accuse him of intimidating Seyitan. Reacting to the backlash he received following the alleged arrest of Seyitan, Dbanj shared a video on Instagram of him dancing to his hit song 'Olorun maje' which is a Yoruba phrase that means 'god forbid'. American former professional basketball player Dwyane Wade got a serious gift from his wife, actress Gabrielle Union, for Father’s Day. Wade said he mentioned years ago that he will like to have a Bronco when he moves to LA. Gabrielle decided to make that dream a reality for him on Fathers’ Day. “Don’t ever say I didn’t do nothing for you, I love you.” Gabrielle said as she presented the car to Wade. Fire razes Oba market in Benin (photos/video)

Shops and goods located in the popular Oba Market in Benin City, Edo State, were destroyed when a fire tore through the market. The fire started at about 12:05 am on Monday, June 22, and raged till 6am. By the time it was put out by fire fighters, a large section of the market had been destroyed. The cause of the fire has not been revealed. According to reports, there was no power supply in the area at the time the fire began, thereby ruling out the possibility of an electrical fault.  Traders who arrived at the market this morning to find their means of livelihood destroyed were inconsolable. The Assistant Controller, Federal Fire Servce in Asaba, Delta state, Samson Karibo, who was in Benin with his men, on special assignment, assisted to put out the fire. Karibo disclosed that the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to Obaseki called to inform him, shortly after the fire started. He then hurried to the scene with his men. Nigerian man stabs his wife to death and then commits suicide in their home in Lekki

A Nigerian man simply identified as Femi, stabbed his wife to death, and thereafter committed suicide in their home in Victory Park estate in Lagos state on Sunday, June 21. According to residents of the estate, the couple moved into the estate three weeks ago with their two young children. Not much was known about the couple but just a day before the murder-suicide, they were spotted jogging together on Saturday night June 20. However, on Sunday, the man who is said to have always questioned the paternity of their second child, stabbed his wife to death, and then took his own life. A neighbor who spoke on condition of anonymity  said "On Sunday afternoon, neighbors close to the couple's apartment heard loud music emanating from their home and this lasted for many hours. Bet9ja Staff Commits Suicide After Using Company's N150k To Play Virtual Soccer

A 28-year-old man, identified simply as Suga, has committed suicide in Bayelsa State after losing N150,000 belonging to the company in virtual soccer. According to TheNation, Suga, who hailed from Nembe Local Government Area of the state, allegedly poisoned himself with a substance suspected to be Sniper (insecticide) after using his boss’ money worth N150,000 to play bet9ja virtual games. It was learnt that he killed himself on Wednesday after staking a variant of bet9ja popularly called ‘Ogbu ngwa ngwa’, which literally translates as ‘it kills quicker than normal football matches’. This virtual game is said to last less than two minutes and one either wins or loses and it is controlled by computers as programmed. A community source, who craved anonymity, said Suga used to run a Bet9ja shop for his unnamed boss in Bassambiri Nembe area of the state. Imam's son arrested for allegedly stabbing his friend to death over a stolen phone

The police in Lagos state have arrested Abdulrahman Olayiwola, son of the Chief Imam of Isale Oja community in Agege, for allegedly stabbing his friend, identified simply as Pelumi, to death during an argument over a stolen phone. According to police sources, Pelumi had given Abdulrahman a stolen phone to keep for him. An argument ensued between the both of them as Abdulrahman allegedly refused to release the phone to Pelumi when he demanded for it. It took the intervention of Pelumi's girlfriend and Abdulrahman's sister for him to give Pelumi back the phone. However, an argument ensued between both men the following day and it quickly degenerated into a fight. In the process, Abdulrahman allegedly picked up a broken bottle a stabbed his friend, Pelumi, in the neck which resulted in his death. Officers at the Isokoko police station were alerted and Abdulrahman was arrested while the body of Pelumi was deposited in the morgue. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson
