Ondo first lady, Betty Akeredolu tests positive for COVID-19

Mrs Betty Akeredolu, wife of Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has tested positive for COVID-19.A government official who confirmed this Tribune, said:     “The samples of the First Lady which was collected  two days ago and one of the security aides of the governor returned positive this morning.” The official added that the First Lady has embarked on self-isolation but said:     “We are still awaiting the results of some media aides of the governors and some commissioners who interact with the state governor regularly.” Governor Akeredolu tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, June 30.

WHO react to T. B Joshua healing a Coronavirus Patient

The World Health Organization (WHO) has reacted to a trending video of a Cameroonian medical doctor Kameni Pierre, allegedly claiming to have been healed of Coronavirus by Prophet TB Joshua through his church channel, Emmanuel TV. The gynecologist who allegedly claimed to have suffered Coronavirus, said he received his healing after he called in virtually for prayers during an interactive programme on Emmanuel TV from the isolation center he was placed in. According to Pierre, he displayed his result and 'vomited out’ the disease while receiving prayers from the Pastor T. Exposing Boko Harem Sponsors is not our Duty - Nigerian Army.

The Nigerian army has exempted itself from the responsibility of exposing sponsors of the Boko Harem group. The Coordinator of Defence Media Operations, Major General John Enenche, made the revelation today Thursday, 2nd July. He said although the army is aware that some groups are being sponsored, it is not the Nigerian Army's responsibility to expose the sponsors of the terror group. According to Enenche, he claimed it is the responsibility of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate, find out and reveal the identities of those sponsoring the terrorist groups. The kind of weapons these terrorists are using like the gun truck and other sophisticated weapons are expensive and how much are they stealing to procure those arms, that have to say that they are sponsored and heavily funded,” he said. Governor Yahaya Bello accuses politician of playing politics with covid-19

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has made a controversial statement on which he accused Nigerian politicans of playing with the lives of citizens with covid-19. Governor Bello said this while hosting the  Board of Trustees of Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation who paid him a courtesy call in his Lugard House office in Lokoja today . Jeff Bezos' wealth has reached new heights following a 4.4 percent surge in Amazon's stock value. 56-year-old Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon, is now worth $172 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. A 20-year-old young lady and groundnut seller is currently making the rounds on social media after it was learned that she gave birth to triplets after being raped. Information as shared by a Facebook user, Precious Oluomachi Livingstone on a popular Facebook group, Igbo Rant has it that the 20-year-old groundnut seller took in after she was raped while hawking. Taking in from rape is however not the news angle but the fact that she kept the pregnancy and got blessed with triplets. Brother-in-law explains why pregnant woman chopped off her husband's penis.

More information has been uncovered on the heavily pregnant woman who chopped off her husband's penis. A medical doctor took to Twitter on July 1 to reveal that an 8-month pregnant woman used a kitchen knife to amputate her husband's penis after a little quarrel.  Further details reveal that the incident happened early on Wednesday morning, July 1, in Tella, a village in Gassol local government area of Taraba state. The woman is a 32- year- old housewife named Halima Umar and her husband is Aliyu Umar. The younger brother of the victim, Usman Umar said his elder brother Aliyu Umar was sleeping in the same room with his first wife, Halima when she woke up about 2 am and cut off his penis.  Usman alleged that the wife drugged Aliyu Umar before they went to bed which made her able to amputate his penis without resistance. The Port Harcourt zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arraigned Onwuzuruike Kingsley Ikenna (a.k.a Nwanta Anayoeze Yonaracha) over alleged internet fraud. Onwuzuruike Kingsley Ikenna, popularly known as Jeff Sikora or as Nwanta Anayoeze Yonaracha, paraded himself as a self-styled President/ Chief Executive Officer of United States-based Prime Trust Credit Union Bank. Recall that back in February, Ikenna went live on Facebook to boast that he has been released hours after being paraded by the EFCC for allegedly being involved in Business Email Compromise (BEC) and identity fraud. White Maimi police officer relieved from duty for punching a black woman at Miami Airport (video)

A Miami police officer has been relieved from his duty after he was caught punching a Black woman at Miami International Airport. Antonio Rodriguez, an officer for the Miami-Dade Police Department was filmed on another officer's bodycam punching the woman at the airport on Wednesday evening, July 1. The video, obtained by the Miami Herald, shows the black woman in a terminal facing two officers and taunting one of them. “You acting like you white when you really Black...what you want to do?” the woman says. As she steps up to the officer, putting her face right in his, the provoked cop punched her in the face. “She headbutted me,” he says as his colleagues including the one whose the bodycam was recording the incident rush in to handcuff her. Nigerian man recounts his experience with ''drunk'' police officers in Lagos

A Nigerian man has taken to his Twitter handle to share his alleged experience with some ''drunk and high'' police officers in Lagos. According to @Mobenjaminmusic, he was stopped by the police officers while on his way home on Tuesday, June 30. He said the officers who accused him of doing 'street','' asked him and others that were arrested to pay them N300, 000 before they would be released. Nigerian police denies detaining Seyitan after she accused D'banj of rape

The Nigerian police has denied detaining Seyitan Babatayo, the lady who accused singer, D'banj, of rape. A police source who spoke to Vanguard, said D’banj reported on three separate occasions at FCID for interrogation and statement, while Seyitan repeatedly refused to show up. Her alleged non-appearance led to the prompt dispatch of officers by the Force CID to Lagos, to invite her for written statement and interrogation on the alleged rape incident. The police source insisted that there might be a mix up by the legal representative of Seyitan over claims of being arrested and detained by Police operatives at Ikeja in Lagos for 24 hours.  The security official insisted that the alleged rape victim was only invited to give her written statement and also to be interrogated as it was necessary for her to come forward to give a statement to back up her accusation.
