Baby born holding mother’s contraceptive that failed to stop her getting pregnant (Photos)

Some rather weird photos that’s begun trending on the web, show a newborn baby holding his mum’s contraceptive coil which failed to stop her falling pregnant with him. The newborn baby boy is seen clasping his mother’s yellow and black intrauterine device in his hand at Hai Phong International Hospital in the city of Hai Phong in northern Vietnam. Obstetrician Tran Viet Phuong said the device had come out when the baby was born. The infant had it held firmly in his hands when the picture was taken, it is claimed. Dr Phuong told local media, “After delivery, I thought him holding the device was interesting, so I took a picture. “I never thought it would receive so much attention.” The baby’s 34-year-old mother claims she had the coil inserted two years earlier but it did not work because she later discovered she was pregnant. Popular socialite, Omotola Taiwo Temilade, aka Omohtee, who had called out Dr Anu Adepoju of MedContour following a botched cosmetic surgery, has told of how she became suicidal and had to spend millions to treat herself after the botched surgery.  Speaking to BBC pidgin, she narrated how she wanted to make her tummy flat and "top up" her butt. Ngige threatens to sue House of Reps member over N2b allegation

Dr. Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment has threatened to sue the Chairman of the House of Representatives on Finance, James Falake, over claims of inserting N2 billion projects in the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) 2020 budget. The Minister who accused Falake of either being “mischievous or ignorant of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP) Act or both", also alleged that he is abusing “parliamentary privilege" and also ignorant of the fact that ministers cannot pad budgets because the final products come from the National Assembly. Trump administration sends letter withdrawing U.S. from World Health Organization over Coronavirus response

The Donald Trump administration has sent a letter officially notifying the United Nations that the United States is leaving the World Health Organization.  This comes two months after Donald Trump halted funding to WHO and threatened to withdraw U.S. from Organization over Coronavirus response. In an email to reporters, a U.N. spokesman confirmed that it received the notification: "On 6 July 2020, the United States of America notified the Secretary-General ... of its withdrawal from the World Health Organization, effective on 6 July 2021," wrote Stéphane Dujarric, a spokesman for U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres, adding that the U.N. is checking with WHO to see if all the conditions for withdrawal have been met. According to reports, to leave the organization, the U.S. is supposed to give a one-year notice and pay outstanding dues. As of June 30, the U.S. owed $198 million in unpaid membership dues.
