Enugu Police confirm Arrest of Ghanaian Man who poured Hot Water on his Lover's Breasts (photos)

The  Enugu state police command has confirmed the arrest of Emmanuel Opoku, the 28-year-old Ghanaian man who allegedly poured hot water on the breasts of his Lover, one Chiamaka Ngwu aged 25 at their home in Akuke-Awkunanaw, Enugu. A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, ASP Ndukwe Ekea, says Opoku's arrest was sequel to a petition received at the command's headquarters on July 10 from Women Aid Collective (WACOL), Enugu that he allegedly committed the act on June 23 following a misunderstanding between the lovers. ''Preliminary investigation reveals that the lovers have been together for over three (3) years with three (3) children, but are yet to be customarily or otherwise married. It further shows that they had misunderstanding on the said date, which led to the suspect pouring hot water, intended for the preparation of pap, all over the victim’s breasts. Senate seeks removal of Age Limit for Job Seekers.

The Nigerian senate has urged President Buhari to direct the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity to set up a Committee to review the age limit for job seekers.  The decision taken by the upper chamber to ensure that competent applicants are employed by the ministries, departments and agencies of government, stemmed from the motion sponsored by Senator Ibrahim Gobir. Gobir said; "Age barriers inadvertently excludes and marginalises skillful and competent prospective applicants from participating in such exercises”. A man has suffered penile fracture while engaging in rigorous sex with his partner in a hotel. A Nigerian medical personnel, @OlumideAdeuyi, who shared graphic photos of the fractured penis online, said the man was ''pounding vigorously'' when he hit the ''Mons Pubis'', a part of the female vaginal anatomy, resulting in his penis fracturing.  "It happened around 5am sunday AM in a nearby hotel. A number of American celebrities are hailing a 6-year-old boy after he bravely fought off a dog to protect his kid sister and ended up sustaining injuries that needed stitching. According to reports, the boy placed himself between his sister and a dog that was trying to attack her. He got bitten on the face multiple times but he made sure his sister wasn't harmed and he managed to get her home safely. He was quoted as saying: "If someone was going to die, I thought it should be me." His photo and story has been reshared by multiple American celebrities as they praise him for his action.

Kanye West drops out of 2020 US presidential race

Kanye West has reportedly dropped out of the U.S. presidential race less than two weeks after announcing his intention to run for president. According to a report in New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, West hired campaign staff who were looking into getting his name listed as a third-party candidate in Florida and several other states, but the team has now been told the bid is off. Steve Kramer, an election strategist hired by West to focus on getting his name on the ballot in Florida and South Carolina, told the publication that 'he’s out' of the 2020 race. Kramer admitted that his bid was serious and there were 180 people working in the ground in Florida before they decided to call off the effort. Senate passes bill prescribing life imprisonment for kidnappers; removes gender restrictions on the offence of rape

The senate on Tuesday July 14, passed a bill prescribing life imprisonment for persons found guilty of kidnapping. The upper legislative chamber also deleted the statute of limitation on defilement and also removed gender restrictions on offences of rape. The bill tagged “the Criminal Code Act (Amendment) Bill, 2020” sponsored by Senator Oluremi Tinubu (APC, Lagos Central) had  passed its second reading in the Senate on Tuesday, 26 November 2019. Chairman, Senate Committees on Judiciary, Human and Legal Matters, Senator Micheal Opeyemi Bamidele, had noted that the aim of criminal law and criminal justice system is not only for punishment but also for deterrence, retribution, restoration and rehabilitation of offenders. A video making rounds online captured moment a corpse was forced out of a casket after allegedly refusing to be transported back home. It was alleged that all ambulances brought in to convey him to his hometown in Anambra state for burial, became faulty after his casket was placed in it.
